As part of Nicosia’s ongoing Smart City Program, over ten new Info Points have been installed across Nicosia. These installations act as clear and reliable reference points, helping residents and visitors navigate the city while also elevating the visual and functional quality of the public realm.
Design Concept
The design of the Info Points balances practical usability with strong visual presence. Two orientation formats, portrait and landscape, were developed to adapt to various urban conditions—whether placed along busy pedestrian routes, wide open squares, or narrower streets. This flexibility ensures that the installations integrate seamlessly within their surroundings without losing clarity or impact.
Recognizing that information must be accessible at all hours, the Info Points feature a distinctive blue LED strip along their side. By day, this element acts as a subtle accent, while at night it transforms the units into highly visible markers, guiding movement and offering clear orientation. The lighting detail not only increases functionality, but also adds an atmospheric identity to the urban landscape after dark.
